Transfer from Tronchetto to St. Mark’s
via the Grand Canal
This transfer winds its way along the Grand Canal, the main waterway of the city that is overlooked by aristocratic palaces and Venice’s most picturesque churches.
The outward journey along the Grand Canal (or return depending on taxi availability) is by taxis that can carry 16 people in the summer and 14 in the winter.
The journey via the Grand Canal takes around 40 minutes.
The return journey (or the outward journey) is along the Giudecca Canal which offers an amazing view of St. Mark’s Square (Piazza San Marco) and the striking “skyline” created by the profiles of the Venetian palaces overlooking the canal.
The journey via the Giudecca Canal takes around 20 minutes.
Our staff will be available during the journey and to assist in embarkation and disembarkation at the Tronchetto terminal.
Transfer from Tronchetto to St. Mark’s
via the Giudecca Canal
The transfer leaves from Tronchetto Island (bus terminal), and after embarkation continues on along the Giudecca Canal, the wide canal that separates Giudecca Island from the Dorsoduro Sestiere (district) and feeds directly into St. Mark’s Basin.
Along the journey one can admire many of the city’s symbolic buildings: the 19th Century Stucky Windmill (Molino Stucky) that rises imposingly on the western point of the island; the splendid Church of the Redeemer (Chiesa del Redentore) designed by the architect Andrea Palladio; Custom’s Point (Punta della Dogana) the end point that divides the Giudecca Canal from St. Mark’s basin and St. George's island (Isola di San Giorgio) and the famous St. Mark’s Square (Piazza San Marco) where one can visit the monuments of the area.
The trip via the Giudecca Canal takes around 20 minutes (each way).
Transfer from Punta Sabbioni to St.Mark’s
The transfer leaves from the embarkation point at Punta Sabbioni to travel across the northern lagoon and sail alongside the islands of St. Erasmus (Sant’Erasmo), Vignole and Venice’s Lido (Lido di Venezia).
There is a stop at the Riva degli Schiavoni to visit St. Mark’s Square and its monuments.
Our staff will take care of the return to Punta Sabbioni.
The trip via Punta Sabbioni takes around 35 minutes (each way).Excursion to the Venetian lagoon islands
The tour will take in the main islands of the northern lagoon: Murano, famous for its glass; Burano, renowned for lace production and for its coloured houses and Torcello, the site of the most ancient lagoon settlement, where one can visit the splendid Cathedral with its Byzantine mosaics.
Scenic tour of the northern lagoons and southern lagoons
The island lagoon tour can be customised to take in the smaller islands and the most picturesque and less frequented corners of the northern lagoons and southern lagoons.
Our staff will greet passengers at the embarkation/disembarkation points (Tronchetto passenger terminal, Venice Port, St. Mark’s Square, Punta Sabbioni).
Both half-day (around 4 hours) and full-day tours/excursions (around 8 hours) are available.
We can also organise lunches or suggest restaurants on the islands for the full-day tour.
